[Lecture / Reading] A daughter's secret, Eleanor Moran

The story revolves around a case wich the Law has been seeking for a while stuck a vilain.
It is mainly between two protagonists: Mia, the therapist in her thirties, and Gemma, 13 year old girl and daughter of a man who hides from the vilan because he knows too much.
Police believes Gemma knows things about informations her father keeps and pushes Mia to share if the teenager reveals promising things for their research. For the time starts to count before the case goes to court. And the police does still have nothing concrete.

But now as professional she can be, Mia sees her childhood / adolescence through Gemma who is very attached to her father. She has a desire to protect the girl of "vices" of her father making his daughter, his rock, his Achilles heel.
Will she protect herself from this case? To know how she would put a barrier between her past and the one from this teenager?
Between two chapters, we can find out what kind of childhood / adolescence Mia had, and her relationship with her father.
A ghost who calls upon at a time she would have liked to avoid.

When Gemma, teenager feeling bad in her shoes, who only has eyes for her father and is very defensive over what she hears and reads about the case ... She knows how to manipulate her world. She holds things a girl her age should not be concerned with?
Her attitude is difficult to decipher for the professional ...

Between sessions with clients, including Gemma, Mia has also things to settle with her lover and other relationships.

The reading was slow. I even made a break from it, time to read another novel and then I was reading an other one beside it.
The story at a time involved such a spiral of events. This is not a thriller novel, nor a good police even if there is an police officer there is the case. It's more psychological manipulation with thoughts, etc. Make peace with the past in order to progress in the future.
It was an interesting read but if you want to read, and you're like me, read a lot, I advise you to borrow the.
