[Photo] Color Moodboard Challenge # 1 : Vert et printemps (green and spring)

There are some weeks I do not know how, I came across a Facebook page offering a chalenge picture every month, with a color and theme. This is proposed by Violette. I thought why not, so here I am with my first time with this month of March which has the color and theme of green and spring.
In my little head inspiration came a little: do a bit of art craft with deco-tape and other, make a composition with my Finnish stamps from last spring, etc. Having been ill, and not having been well, and couldn't make up my mind, I decided to stay in the classic with this picture:

Prise vers fin février 2016 dans un parc de Londres / Taken when we were to London in February 2016.

For me, the spring means plants, flowers coming out, buds on trees, Easter, insects, the sun begins to heat and many other things.
For the challenge, we must subsequently posting a second photograph taken on the web that have inspired us ... How to say, I was not inspired from a picture. I take pictures as it comes, so I am posting a picture that shows spring as I like.

Here is for my first participation. I could have post more picture about sping as I took some pictures lately about it, but I am affraid it migh take me a while before I go them on the computer... and the end of March is coming very soon!

Vivre à l'étranger et être malade... / Living abroad and being sick...

For over a decade I live abroad, and of course it happened to me to have been sick enough to see a doctor. Each country has its functionality.
In Finland, there is the public system (terveyskeskus), I do not want to be mean but in this case either be patient because if you want to have an appointment the same day, go to the emergency department where they have several categories, and you will be asked to wait. I have experienced only once, for an ear infection, and waited 4h30.
Since then I have always had a preference for paying the private sector (about 90 . And I speak of a consultation with a GP!) Thankfully, that later I had a good mutuality (health insurance) ... and then subsequently, it was in my contract that the employees were sharpened to a medical center.

So new country = learning how it works here! Through my current health and social sciences course, I had learned that in the UK, the care was  is free of charge. When I had touched two words to Chéri, it surprised him. Because in my case that I am not a citizen of the country and yet European, is it still free for me? If you listen Chéri, in addition to this, the fact that I'm not working I only worked a few hours by there, and here.
In January, I had caught a bad cold. My symptoms persisted, especially cough, I wanted to make an appointment with a general practitioner. And then I discovered all the nightmarish adventure is being able to get one for the same day.

Little explanation: if you are really sick enough to want to see a doctor the same day, it is recommended to call at 8:00 in the morning. You can be sure it will ring busy line ... to make you say twenty minutes later that unfortunately there are no more appointments available that day. OK, and the next day? Ah, you must call back at the first hour my little lady!
Another small recommendation, and I thank Mr. Jason who oriented Chéri on what to do. If you live in the UK, at least in Scotland because I am sure of myself, do not wait until the last minute to register at a medical center near you. You can complete the online form, or print it and bring them. You will be asked for ID and proof of address.

Why do I say this? I, on the advice of a colleague Chéri, I enrolled in January ... Last week was really bad (fever + a horrible cough that made me vomit, I know charming, and you will be passed to the last detail) I called. Sixteen times I had to compose tirelessly their number before I had the privilege of being on the "line" waiting. I was even surprised when I was given an appointment within two hours that followed! Everything went well and I'll spare you the details (boring!)Of course, in love, we share with the other half, is not it so? So two days later I started to get sick, Cheri began to be as well. He was not recorded in any centers. Still, we talked about between us like what he had to do it. He calls where I went to be told they were not taking new patients. Then, the one where I called my first time, and even went there - hoping to have a time but no, only by phone- but no availability. While surfing the web, I found another one, close to home and close to my clinic. He calls, he could see someone but not being registered not possible. He did it and since have seen a GP.We have not paid anything. He had a prescription for one of its symptoms, and it had been taken in charge at 100%.

I gently recovered from this  flu symptoms. As for Chéri, he drags it a little. Especially we have his brother and his small tribe who come to us and had planned to spend two days in the Highlands ... Change the program in our case, we will decide at the last minute.

And you, if you had been ill abroad, what was your experience?

Mon premier instameet / My first Instameet: #DundeeInstameet

Instameet: I had never heard that word until a French blogger living in Edinbourgh let me know that there was one and the very first one in Dundee on Saturday 12th March.
Instameet brings together users of Instagram. I contacted then one of the organizers Ian Black to tell him I wanted to be part of it. What to know it was the first Instameet Dundee, so it was organized by three friends, Ian Black, Kristy Ashton and Craig Anderson, who love the city and want to make  discover on social networks that Scotland, there is not just Edinburgh and Glasgow. To Dundee as well there are things to see if you know where to go and look for it. And as recalled Ian in his welcome speech, Dundee is the coolest city in the United Kingdom!
A beautiful program was waiting for the day that you can find throught thr pictures I took.

Thanks to the  event partners (VisitScotland, V&A Dundee, Dundee City Council, Verdant Works, Discovery Point, Dundee Contemporary Arts, the McManus galleries and the Malmaison)

Arrival and welcome to Verdant Works (Jute museum) with hot drinks and biscuits.

For those who know me, I have no need to recall how I feel when I have to go to events where I know nobody. We were about sixty people! Finally, it went well because soon I met a small group. Then later, I talked to various people. Of course, trading on Instagram that was done during the day, and I found so beautiful pictures, very variants inspirations from one user to another. Next to some, I felt like a beginner when I know very well that everything related to art, everyone has their own perception and that we should not compare ... Not just for art anyway!

McManus galleries...

Being a stranger in a foreign country (a stranger in a strange land*) and living in Dundee for almost 7 months, of course, I was asked what I thought of the city, so I like to live there. It is true that when one spoke of Scotland, the names of towns and places that came to mind were Edinburgh, Glasgow, Loch Ness, and Island of Skye. Dundee is a city where I enjoy living here although it is not easy to meet people. There are some very nice places to discover in the surroundings, all of the museums also interesting one than the other. Major cities are easily access train and takes an average of 1:20. And I always had a preference for medium cities or small ...

Commencons le programme avec :
Lets start the itinerary:

Verdant Works
 10:00
Arrival and Welcome / Arrivé et accueil
Tea / Coffee / Biscuits Provided  / Thé, café, biscuits offert

10:30
Welcome talk from Verdant Works / Discours de bienvenu à Verdant Works

I've never been to this museum yet, although it is on my list of things to do on Dundee. Just a few days ago, they opened to the public "the High Mill" which was being renovated. From what I understood the building was a bit abandoned, with moisture, the roof structure which surely would not stand another winter ... Anyway, here are the photos.

Then, about 11.15, we left to go to McManus Gallery, City Square, Dundee Contemporary Arts. I do not need to say we were not pass unnoticed.

 McManus Gallery :

Oor Wullie and his bucket statue.

One of the things I like on the inside, it's the floor of some rooms, vaults ...

Another thing I like with McManus Gallery, is that they offer a room where young and older children can draw (ok, it's mostly for younger, but I like to go there, take a peek). In addition, they make sessions / workshops stories for toddlers who are very well organized.

Here is another part of the galleries that I like a lot just for the harmony that is in this room.

DCA: Dundee Contemporary Arts:

DCA is not only an exhibition center, it is also a cinema, art workshops, and also a bar & restaurant.
We were lucky to have been able to enter the film screening room! The picture is not very good unfortunately, but I was a bit like a child.

Ensuite, un petit tour dans les ateliers...
Then, it was to the workshops...

It was past 13.00 when we went to RRS Discovery. A lunch  (soup and sandwich) with drinks waiting for us. Of course, this was more than welcome. And thanks to the city of Dundee, and RRS Discovery for lunch.

RRS Discovery

At lunch, where we had a little speech about the museum building V & A (the second in the UK, and an honor for the city of Dundee!), And on the ship RSS Discovery, one had informed us that we could get into St Paul's Cathedral by group of fifteen, and it is doing so at such an hour time.

St Paul's Cathedral.

Every Saturday, there is a concert of music that plays there during lunch time. There it was, it would seem, a rehearsal.

Shall we go up?

And finally, we have a pot waiting for us at Malmaison, a restaurant, bar, very chic hotel in the city if this is not to say luxurious.

Malmaison

If you have read me till the end, thank you! There is no pictures of the canapés, and drinks as my camera's battery went down...

Have you been yet to a Instameet? What have you thought about it?
As for me, I would do the experience again and why not in another city. In this one, there were people who came from Edinburgh, and thought it was a good way to discover the country ...
